Regence style cartel in Boulle marquetry in the first part, with a red tortoiseshell background. Architectural case, resting on a four-legged base in the shape of a flattened ball with chiseled motifs. On each side, a window revealing the mechanism of the clock adorns the case and is decorated with a frame with a frieze of water leaves in chiseled and gilded bronze. Other gilt bronze motifs such as flowers, beaded acanthus leaves, mascaron, lambrequins, garland, music trophies adorn the rest of the case.
At the front, a chariot of Apollo in gilded bronze drawn by two horses takes place under the dial.
