Large Louis XVI style gilded and chiseled bronze wall clock Napoleon III period 19th century.

Architecture: With its imposing and unique architecture, this wall clock has a diamond shape with pronounced shoulders, combining elegance and decorative power. Characteristic of the neo-classicism of the Louis XVI style, it is adorned with rich ornamentation of gilded and chiseled bronzes.

In the lower part, an antique female mask, wearing a crown and decorated with braids, sits in the center of an abundant vegetation of radiant acanthus leaves. Large falls with laurel leaves and flower buds, as well as a central ribbon and burst pomegranates, enrich this decoration. The top part is dominated by a large antique vase on a stand, decorated with a pine cone, acanthus leaves and a laurel crown. The sound ears, decorated with a "queen's" marquetry grid, bring a refined touch.

The round enamel dial, with a domed opening bezel, reveals Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, highlighted by beautiful worked hands, good condition. Signed H. Noël in Evreux, it houses a complete original numbered movement with pendulum gong and key.
