    Boulle clock on its console, 18th century: rich bronze ornamentation, with putti on the glass front, a female figure at the top.

    The entire clock and console are covered with a cut-out brass plate with floral motifs, inlaid with various materials (tortoiseshell, mother-of-pearl, brass) or painted.

    Balance with the effigy of the Sun King (face within a sun).

    The wire-driven movement bears the name Jouard Paris: he was one of the most important Parisian clockmakers of the second third of the 18th century. After registering his master's letters in 1724, he settled in Paris and achieved great renown among lovers of luxury watchmaking.
