Restoration-period clock in gilt bronze, the movement with enameled dial, signed marchand in Paris for JBMarchand horloger installed in Paris from 1830 to 1850. Accosting the dial is a winged cherub holding a bow in one hand and a butterfly in the other. Also featured are a lyre, a bowl and a quiver.
On the other side of the dial, we see a pedestal drinking trough embellished with two birds. This clock is magnificently chased, with double bright and matt gilding, a charming subject of very fine quality.
