Finely chiseled gilt bronze clock and Sèvres porcelain plaques, representing a cherub or Cupid holding a torch and resting on a swan with a dolphin's tail (this one decorated with palmettes and stylized foliage) going up along the dial, oval base imitating the waves and decorated with rams' heads, from the 19th century Restoration period.
This clock is in good condition and is of remarkable quality. The movement works, we have the key and the pendulum.
The Sèvres plaque dial is decorated with garlands of flowers, with Roman numerals in cartouches. The base plaque represents two small cherubs holding bouquets of flowers.
Please note: a small hole (casting defect) on one side near a ram, small cracks in the bronze at the end of the tail and on the torch, micro-chips (and repaints) around the winding holes of the dial, slight wear of time, see photos.
