Mantelpiece composed of an important clock accompanied by two cassolettes in pink and sea green marble.
This octagonal clock made of pink and green veined marble is provided with a dial of the same shape in chromed metal appearing in relief and bearing the mark "Vallage Nantes".
The mechanism with its balance and key is in perfect working order.
The whole is supported by the wings of two Sphinges in patinated bronze. Each one rests on a rectangle of veined pink marble, supported by a large octagonal base made of two brightly colored marbles, the corner of which is decorated with a bronze rosary.
This large clock resting on eight bronze feet is surrounded by two cubbyholes of the same taste.
These cassolettes stratified with sea green and pink veined marble, have slightly worked bronze feet with cut sides ending in a collar.
The combination of marble and bronze, its large size and ornamentation make this mantel set a unique work of art full of elegance and presence.
