    Very fine original French Charles X portico clock, gilt, circa 1830.
    Signed: Verdière, 15 rue Dauphine, Paris.
    Verdière worked on rue Dauphine from 1820 to 1840.
    Preserved with its original, very interesting and unusual grid pendulum, suspended from an inverted knife-edge. (see image)
    Entirely in used condition, gilt and original, with a beautiful antique patina.
    The original signed dial is in used condition. Still with its original movement, fully cleaned and serviced, striking a bell every 30 minutes, in perfect working order, having been running for a week.
    Made in France circa 1830.
    49 cm high, 26 cm wide, 16.5 cm deep.
