Very beautiful pendulum in matte and shiny gilded bronze and blue patinated bronze, representing Flora sowing roses over the universe.
The goddess, using her basket, pours her roses onto a celestial sphere placed on a bed of clouds.
The whole rests on an oval base decorated with applied bronzes, faun masks and attributes of comedy and music. The four bell-shaped feet.

Very beautiful carving details for this entire clock signed Chapuy, rue Vivienne n°4. Watchmaker active at this address until 1814.

Magnificent original mercury gilding, simply cleaned.

Wire movement, in perfect working order, serviced by an art watchmaker.

Pendulum referenced in the "Encyclopedia of the French pendulum" by Pierre Kjellberg, on page 396.
As well as in the work “French Bronze clocks” by Elke Niehüser, on page 233.

Superb state of conservation.

Empire period, around 1810.
