EMPIRE APOLLO CLOCK - ALLEGORY OF MUSIC
Empire clock - 19th century in finely chased gilt bronze decorated with an allegory of music, i.e. Apollo seated playing the kithara, feet on a stool, one of which is on a parchment, to the right of which is a lute,
White enamel dial with Roman numerals,
the dial is surrounded by a decoration of fantastic animals, garlands of flowers and a winged angel's head.
The base of this clock is rectangular and features Apollo seated on a rock, surrounded by lions, palms and snakes.
Acanthus-shaped feet.
