Column clock in blackened wood with finely chased gilt bronze ornamentation, decorated with an Amour or angelot à l'escarpolette, Farcot movement with pendulum swinging back and forth, Napoleon III period, 19th century.
This clock is in good overall condition and is of high quality. We have the pendulum (with the cherub) but not the key. Farcot movement with two-wheel escapement (patented in 1862), allowing the pendulum to swing back and forth. The movement works perfectly and has been thoroughly overhauled by our watchmaker.
Please note: two of the ball feet have been restored (glued back together), the wood veneer is slightly damaged and missing, the Roman numerals on the dial are slightly faded, scratched and weathered, please take a look at the photos.
Film of balance wheel operation available on request by e-mail.
