Cartier Clock in Bloodstone, Mother-of-Pearl, Gilt Brass, and Enamel, circa 1981
Rare octagonal-shaped clock on a rectangular base made of bloodstone, inspired by Art Deco. The octagonal dial features a radiant design in mother-of-pearl marquetry. The "gladiator sword" style hands are skeletonized and made of gilt brass.
The base rests on a gilt brass stand engraved with a black enamel geometric motif.
Quartz movement, battery access cover signed Cartier, octagonal brushed gilt brass backplate attached with four enamel-headed screws. The plate bears the Cartier signature in Paris and the number 200560. The movement plate is numbered 1823499.
