    - Fine verdure woven in the 17th century in a Flemish workshop. This tapestry, typical of Verdures, offers us an open window onto a verdant landscape embellished by a stretch of water near which stands what appears to be a Barbary cane with its two ducklings. The flora is presented with great vivacity, as evidenced by the sinuosity of the tree trunks and the perceptible movement of the foliage.
    - The greenery is distinguished by the fineness of the weave (8 threads/cm), which enabled the weavers to transcribe the details of the design with great meticulousness. For example, the lyers have gone to great lengths to reproduce the design with an eye for depth, thanks to the subtlety of the background, where the foliage gradually fades to create perspective.
Volumes have been finely transcribed, with light hues juxtaposed with darker ones, and flashes of light introduced by touch, thanks to the use of golden yellow silk, at the tips of the leaves or on the twisting trunks. These touches of light also serve to guide the direction of reading; the sun's rays penetrate the greenery from the left.

    - The well-preserved colors offer pleasant cameos of blues and greens. The strong greens and blues contrast with the many uses of silk in the weave, creating an exceptionally luminous ensemble.

    - This fragment is closely related to the production of 18th-century Flemish workshops. This is evidenced by the fine weave (8 threads/cm), resulting in a supple textile with an impeccable reverse, the materials used (wool and silk) and the colors, whose freshness suggests the use of grand teint.

    - The original border (not attached) bears witness to its use as a window divider. The border is composed of garlands of flowers, echoing the vegetation of the central scene.
    - Tapestry partially lined (reinforced ends), cord as hanging system.
    - Condition: generally good, with some wear (see photos).

    - Dimensions : height : 285 cm, width : 152 cm
