-Aubusson tapestry panel in wool and silk from the 18th century.
This tapestry offers a glimpse of an exotic setting, with a full-height plant column in bloom, and a pagoda to the right, both characteristic of exotic landscapes in the "Pillement taste". The scene is enlivened by a couple of figures positioned from behind.
-This tapestry offers a rich color palette, with shades of beige punctuated by blues and greens.
The eye, drawn by the red of the figures' clothing, is then drawn to the flowery plant column.
It is enriched by a border adorned with a coiled garland of flowers.
-Good condition, one area shows wear (see last photo).
-Please note: at the top, the tapestry is folded over itself by 10 cm for aesthetic coherence (reversible).
Lined, velcro strip sewn to top back, ready to hang.
