Suite of 4 Empire period solid silver salerons / salt shakers, cobalt blue crystal verrines.

Elegant model, still very Louis XVI style, late 18th or early 19th century, resting on 3 finely chased hind legs decorated with rosettes at the top. A great opportunity to find a set of 4 pieces for a large table.

Our salerons bear the 1er coq hallmark used between 1798 and 1809, the goldsmiths' association hallmark, the grosse garantie hallmark, as well as the highly visible but unidentified JD goldsmith's hallmark.

The set is in good condition, with a few slight deformations, but still looks good. The original verrines show minor chips, one with a larger chip (last photo), much less visible when the verrine is installed, and the verrine remains solid. Among the 4 bone salt scoops enclosed, one is very slightly different, but of the same size.
