Large rectangular tray in silver-plated metal from the Mappin and Webb factory.

Mappin and Webb is a jewelry company founded in 1775 by Jonathan Mappin in Sheffield, England.
In 1862 his great-grandson John Mappin and his brother-in-law George Webb founded the company Mappin, Webb & Co.
Today it is an international company mainly producing luxury jewelry and table cutlery.
The master craftsman of the Mappin & Webb jewelry workshops is the current Crown Jeweler of the United Kingdom.

This beautiful silver plated serving tray from the Mappin and Webb manufacture  is a majestic addition to any table. It features two finely crafted handles and a delicately chiseled outline, adding a touch of sophistication to its design.

On the reverse, the plate is inscribed Mapping & Web, princess plate.
