I am offering for sale this delightful solid silver "Violin" model cutting service in fine condition. It consists of a large knife with an "Ottoman" blade and a large serving fork. The cutlery is decorated in the Louis XV style with foliate scrolls, interlacing and shell motifs, as well as a beautiful monogram in the English letter "GL".
Hallmarks of the Minerve 2nd title and of master goldsmith Claude Doutre-Roussel, active in Paris at the end of the 19th century at 118 rue Vieille du Temple.
