Set of 6 cutlery in solid silver, shell fillet model, engraved on the spatula with the marquis's coat of arms.
This is the alliance coat of arms of Raoul Anatole Edmond Henri René Giraud de LA BORIE (1821-1882), son of the Marquis de CAMPAGNE, married in 1854 with Laure Eulalie de SIMARD de PITRAY (1821-1905).
The LA BORIE family (aka LABORIE) wore "gules with three silver spearheads placed 2 and 1, topped with a silver crescent".
The SIMARD de PITRAY family wore "azure, with a silver chevron, charged with six gules billets, placed in the direction of the chevron and accompanied by three golden lion heads, crowned in the antique style of the same." This is an old family from Guyenne.
