Set of 12 Louis XVI style table knives, ebony handle, solid silver ferrule, steel blade.

The blades bear the mark of Lépine in Lyon, one of the very large French knife manufacturers, whose know-how goes back almost 300 years: the productions of the Lépine house are beautifully made.

The set is in very good condition, stored in its original case, also bearing the Lépine brand (the case bears an ED monogram, but the knives do not bear any monogram). Traces of oxidation on the blades. Some split sleeves, as is often the case after 100 years of use.
