Set of 12 Louis XVI style melon knives / melon forks, beautiful model with silver handle with ribboned rushes and solid silver fork, handles decorated with an SL monogram.

The melon knife is a rare piece of silverware, a specific piece of cutlery for both cutting and eating melon: a knife blade for cutting the flesh and a fork curved at the end for eating it.

The handles and blade bear the Minerve 1er titre hallmark (silver alloy at 950/1000) and the goldsmith's hallmark of Lapparra et Gabriel (active between 1902 and 1923).

The set is in excellent condition, in a presentation case.
