Gilded wood living room, Louis XVI style, late 19th - early 20th century, composed of four armchairs and two chairs with fluted legs, crossed with heart-shaped decoration, scrolls on the armrests, and trophies of musical instruments.

The whole has been covered with a fabric in keeping with the style of the structure; the work, neat, was probably done "in the old style" a few years ago by a competent upholsterer. Only the armrests have been padded with foam rather than horsehair.
In terms of defects: a halo on the seat of one of the armchairs, a few wood-eating insect bites, not serious. Detached ornaments which are present and can, on request, be glued back before the sale; some wear and gilding. But overall a beautiful appearance and a beautiful patina for the six seats.
