Living room furniture, suite of 4 armchairs and a sofa in finely carved beech, model with fluted front legs, topped with a pink connecting die and Etruscan saber front legs. The belt carved with a row of piastres, armrest supports with fluted balusters, the scrolled backrest. They are covered with new silk gourgouran with Champagne-colored lines (Fontenay model by Tassinari et Châtel). Our seats are made in Paris in the style of Jacob from the Directoire period, late 18th century around the mid-1790s.

It is interesting to note that these seats are the transitional style between the Louis XVI style and the Empire: the front of the seat is still very Louis XVI, while the rear with the scrolled backrest and saber legs announces the style Empire.

Excellent condition, old restorations. Horsehair trim on its straps, the seats are newly covered in silk with black braiding. Very bright ensemble, a good alliance between modern and old.

Sofa length: 170cm
Armchair width: 56cm
Height: 87cm
Seat height: 41cm
