-Carved, molded and lacquered white beech chair with red rechampi, removable "à châssis" back and seat upholstered in crimson silk damask. Discreet, elegant lines, finely carved with natural flowers highlighted by red rechampi.

-In very good condition, an ink inscription is visible on the inside of the rear crosspiece. Traces of old corner brackets are also visible. The trim is in very good condition and the crimson of the damask blends perfectly with the red rechampi.

-The lines and quality of the carving are reminiscent of the work of seat joiner Jean Avisse (Master in 1745). A bergère à châssis stamped Avisse with identical lacquer and rechampi sold at Sotheby's (Paris ,November 17, 2021).an armchair "à châssis" stamped Avisse with very similar carving is shown in the Kjellberg.
