    Thonet model No. 17, which gives rise to the high-backed models, was created in 1862. Here we have a typical production of Ca.1865 with "sun". Plus the paper label 1a (1862/1870)
     The caning is original for the backrest and the seat has certainly been redone for 15/20 years. Original cherry shellac.
      Seat height: 46 cm, total height: 116 cm
      Seat: 41X42 cm
    It is only in the 1867 poster catalog where it is represented without brackets. Beyond that, chairs No. 16 and 17 always have brackets.
