Thonet chair N° 19 called "Engelstuhl" (angel chair), a model created by Thonet before 1875.
Only one chair is photographed, the other is caned.
This lot dates from 1880/1890 and is stamped in the seat belt.
These chairs have the "oak-style" option from the Thonet catalog, and are of course made of beech, with a special decoration imitating the typical oak veins (see the clear photos). Stable and ready for daily use.
Cane refurbished with German cane (SR weave).
Seat diameter 41 cm; seat height 47 cm. Total height: 91 cm
