Stable, ergonomic, space-saving and beautiful!!
It has the “metal reinforcements” option which certainly allowed it to last until us in perfect condition. See attached Thonet catalog sheet.
The 1/2 format (or Kleine Stühle/ “small chair”) appeared in 1890 at THONET in order to optimize seating capacity in public establishments.
Seat height: 47 cm - Seat diameter 38 cm - Total height: 86 cm.
THONET label and stamp under the seat.
Very good general condition and patina of use - original walnut tone under shellac
