Set of 4 Kohn N° 248a caned chairs. Produced from 1902 to 1914, it was re-produced by Thonet-Mundus in 1925 with a round seat. N° 248 is the bistro model with a 36X38cm seat, N°248a is the plush version with a 41X42cm seat. A variation of model 248a exists depending on the production plant, or the years: some models have front legs whose diameter increases at the points of tangency and a hollow wave at the top of the backrest; other 248a models have straight front legs and an almost straight top of the backrest- See photo of the two models together- Stamp and label under each seat.
