Set of 4 Fischel Art Deco bistro chairs 1938/39 American mahogany
Seat height: 47 cm Total height: 79 cm Seat: 37X41cm, label on back of seat.
Very good, solid condition. The front legs are assembled with round mortise and tenon joints, reinforced with a cast-iron bracket. This model is very rare and certainly not produced much in 1938/39, and for good reason. Fischel did not reopen these doors in Wissembourg after the Second World War.
This model is not to be found in the catalog, but it is certainly a custom-made marriage for a large order. Square front legs, rectilinear, with 3 bars and a band on the back.
These chairs will be delivered with compressed felt glides to avoid resonance on hard floors.
