<meta charset="UTF-8" />Pair of chairs with curved backs decorated with a tripod Athenian, inlaid with ebony and brass fillets. Beautiful and elegant Russian decor from the Directoire period, very late 18th century, circa 1795-1800.

Parisian work, probably by Demay or Marcion; the model is very elegant, sophisticated while presenting a false simplicity.

For its complete restoration, we chose to keep the horsehair upholstery on its original straps, a new French polish that brings out the mahogany and the ebony and brass fillets. And for the cover we opted for a black horsehair fabric woven on hand looms. This luxury fabric is now manufactured by only one company in France and in the world.
