    Pair of Chinese Ming style mahogany chairs resting on four square legs. Hollowed-out backrest with circular uprights in a square shape with rounded corners with a central vertical S-shaped band protruding slightly above the upper horizontal upright of the backrest and rolling slightly towards the rear. Back panel of the backrest engraved with a stylized Chinese ideogram, probably “Shou” symbol of longevity. Lightly carved decoration of stylized ruyi clouds on the belt.

    Work from the 1900 period in the style of Chinese chairs in huanghuali bonnet of scholars of the Ming dynasty.
