We are delighted to offer for sale this magnificent pair of Napoleon III papier-mâché and ebony chairs. The chairs feature fabulous mother-of-pearl inlays on the backs. These are original antiques that will add elegance and charm to any room. The chairs have a floral upholstered seat with no rips or tears.

This pair of occasional chairs depicts a fabulous story from years gone by. The ebony frame is in good condition, with some minor marks, which only add character to this piece.

Made in France in the mid-1800s, the chairs require no assembly and measure 45 cm long, 40 cm deep, and 80 cm high.

They are perfect for anyone looking for a touch of historical charm to add to their home or commercial setting.

Shipping

Our main warehouse is located in Montpellier, southern France. The majority of our stock is shipped from there.

For smaller items weighing less than 20 kg and measuring 180 cm (W + H x 2), this corresponds to a box measuring approximately 50 x 30 x 40 cm.

Delivery: 7 to 14 days depending on your location.

You may be subject to customs charges for your parcel, which will be payable upon delivery of your item. Please contact our dedicated team for more information before your purchase.

Large Items to the UK and EU

These items will be shipped with our own freight partners operating between the UK, France, and Spain. We aim to ship these items within 2 to 4 weeks. We can ship to other EU countries, but delivery times may vary.

Large Items - Shipping Abroad

We will need your full address to obtain a true shipping cost from our freight partners.

Once all costs have been agreed, we will arrange packaging and crating if necessary.

The shipment will then be delivered to our freight partners in the UK and booked for the next crossing.

Crossings can take between 2 and 4 weeks depending on your destination.

If you don't have a customs broker to arrange customs taxes (you may be liable for taxes on your purchase) and paperwork, our shipping partners can help.

These overseas deliveries can take between 4 and 8 weeks.

Insurance

For any shipment for which you have paid additional insurance, in the unfortunate event of damage during transit, all damages must be reported to the final destination carrier and to us immediately so we can initiate the claims process.

Returns

In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your purchase to arrange a return and refund.

Returns must be in the original packaging as received.

Items must be returned in their "as sold" condition.

The buyer must notify the shipping company that this is a return and cover all costs.
