3 Chairs A 846 and 2 armchairs A 847 F by Thonet circa 1925, this production by Thonet Czechoslovakia is very rare and of a very beautiful Art Deco design. The page for armchairs 837, 845, 846, 847, 847F, 848F, and 837 is commonly attributed to Otto Prutscher (see the attached catalogs for Thonet 1930 and Thonet-Mundus 1928).
Pieces from this period are often confused between a chair and an armchair; if the Thonet nomenclature includes the letter F, it is an armchair. We are dealing here with both chairs and armchairs!
Extremely comfortable seating position.
All five pieces are upholstered in creamy-white genuine leather, already patinated and in perfect condition.
The attached photos of the construction details help perfectly identify the period.
Label present under each seat.
All five pieces from the same "house" are clearly from the same commission from the 1930s.
