This elegant suite of eight country chairs is made of walnut and beech and is in generally good condition, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. One chair has lost a piece of the spinning top that adorns the top of an upright, and one of its legs has been broken off and repaired. The straw covers are in satisfactory condition, but most certainly original, showing some signs of wear, and one or two seats are a little more worn.
Late 18th or early 19th century.
