Dupain Adrien - Pierre
Adrien-Pierre Dupain Carpenter. Paris. Master on December 10, 1772. A skilled furniture carpenter, under Louis XVI, he obtained orders for the royal residences and, in particular, for the Queen's service at the Château de Saint-Cloud.
Received as a master in Paris in 1772, this skilled carpenter established himself on rue de Charonne. Adrien-Pierre Dupain obtained orders from the court and produced seats for Marie Antoinette, for the Château de Saint-Cloud. He also supplied many upholsterers and furniture dealers. Its production, slowed down during the Revolution, resumed actively until the beginning of the Empire. All its seats, in the Louis XVI style, were well proportioned, carved with care and finesse, but without much originality. The backs of most of his armchairs were medallion, basket handle or hat.
Parisian Work of Very Fine Quality of Execution, Louis XVI Period, Around 1780, 18th Century.
