Louis XV period sofa in carved walnut with caned seats and back. Typically Lyonnais work from the Nogaret entourage, mid 18th century circa 1750-60.

Beautifully decorated with generous, bold moldings, finely carved flowers and roses. Everything about this model is elegant: sculpture, curves, counter-curves, precise proportions.

Our piece is in very good condition. The joinery has been overhauled and is free of play. The canework is sound and tight. Old restorations (reinforcement). Reupholstered in this beautiful emerald-green silk, of which we have acquired a large yardage, enabling us to offer several matching Louis XV chairs to form a substantial ensemble.
