Very comfortable sofa by Guillerme et Chambron in solid oak and tan leather.
The high back is made up of ten solid curved bars to hold and hug the thick cushions.
The wide upper crossbar returns by rounding on the sides like on the old bergères called "with ears".
The front rests on three feet, a slight recess in the lower crossbar lightens the structure.
Reinforced armrests and seat in thick foam cushions. Crossing the armrest, a wide strip of tan leather, Cellier stitching, is held by a turned oak stick tensioning the side cushion.
The fabric in good condition seems original, a simple cleaning would suffice.
This sofa has not been used much and has advantageously crossed its 60/70 years.

French designers Jacques Chambron (1914-2001) and Robert Guillerme (1913-1990) began their creations after the war. Robert Guillerme had studied design and architecture at the École Boule (top of his class in 1934). Jacques Chambron was a graduate of the École des Arts Appliqués in Reims. During the Second World War, the two men had met in captivity in Germany, and had formed a great friendship based on their passion for interior design. In 1949 the two men met the cabinetmaker Émile Dariosecq, owner of a workshop in Lille and decided to create their own company called "Votre Maison"
Guillerme worked as a designer, to create design and functional pieces, Chambron as a decorator and salesman and Dariosecq's workshop manufactured the pieces. "Votre Maison" produced more than two thousand models, leaving a lasting mark on the world of design.
