Gustave Serrurier Bovy (Liège 1858-1910), Belgian architect and decorator, is one of the main representatives of Art Nouveau in Belgium. An architect until 1888, he turned to furniture design and was interested in the English Arts & Crafts style. In 1894, he presented a study at the Free Aesthetics exhibition in Brussels and met with immediate success. From 1902, he turned to industrial aesthetics and will be considered a precursor of design.
