This armchair was certainly produced infrequently. It was only catalogued between 1905 and 1914.
In the 1904 Thonet catalog, in the supplement published in September 1905, model N° 493 with square section, chair and armchair, is shown.
It is stamped under the seat belt.
It has new manual caning, in 2.4mm, crossed by 2.6mm, for obvious reasons of solidity but also aesthetics (SR weave).
