Rocking Chair in Curved Beech, attributed to the famous cabinetmaker Michael Thonet (1796-1871), and which offers the unusual advantage of being sold with its retractable footrest.
The backrest and seat, with rounded lines, are covered with a handcrafted cane in perfect condition.
This Rocking Chair, result of a Viennese work, benefits from a Quality Wood, essential condition for the realization of this structure in curved Beech. The perfect circles, intertwined in pairs, which make up the sides of this piece of furniture are particularly noteworthy.
The footrest is removable and adjustable on four notches. It is provided at its end with an oval reminding the junction between the backrest and the seat, and pivoting on itself, thus adapting to the position of the feet.
On the underside of the seat, we can see the remains of a label that was unfortunately removed.
This timeless seat, combining charm and comfort, is a real call to relaxation. We can already imagine it lulling our winter evenings by a fireplace.
