Pair of armchairs in walnut wood resting on 4 fluted Louis XVI legs, roughened and ending in circles carved in the dice connecting to the belts. The base included in the circular belt does not have an angle unlike most seats of this period.

The Louis XVI armrest consoles are fluted and roughened like the feet.

Only the scalloped backrest reminds us of the influence of the Louis XV style.

The upper crosspiece of the backrest, like the belt crosspiece, is sculpted with a large and generous Louis XVI knot.

Very certainly southern French work from the Transition period, circa 1770/1775.

    Width: 55 cm.
    Depth: 57 cm.
    Height: 94 cm.
    Seat height: 45 cm.

Good house condition, the fabric in good condition may be a little faded in certain places.

    Delivery possible worldwide on quote.
