Elegant set of 1940's armchairs combining Modernism and Directoire style, newly upholstered in textured silk with geometric patterns.
These two painted sycamore armchairs have a curved back forming a trapezoid and a slight crook at the back. Armrests with rounded ends carved with striations, are covered in the center with cuffs. They rest on a double-turned wooden element.
A narrow belt is decorated with sculpted angles reminiscent of the armrests. It rests on 4 spindle turned legs.
These refined seats have a traditional tapestry seat with straps, spring and horsehair. The suspension is in perfect condition.
A quality fabric, surrounded by double piping, dresses each armchair. Alternating stylized and textured black and gray shapes bring dynamism and character to these unique chairs.
