    Pair of armchairs in natural beech, molded and carved with fleurons, foliage and flowers, seat and back in cane bottom with a removable velvet cushion for the protection and comfort of the seat.
    Model taking up the productions of the Regency style, in particular of seat joiners such as the Cressons, the general structure and the ornamentation are still influenced by the Louis XIV style with in particular the "H" spacer positioned parallel to the belt crosspieces and the inverted console shape of the front and back legs, which is an extension of the so-called "sheep bone" model belonging to the Louis XIII style but which here sports moldings, small sculptures and worked scrolls.
    The particularity of the model is the low back, and which corresponds to a change that appeared under the Regency with armchairs wanted to be lighter, more mobile.
    This pair of armchairs are built in a traditional way with doweled assembly, nice patina of the wood, it is a production of the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century. They are in good condition and solid, the cane of the seat shows wear, but is protected from any risk by the velvet pads, these pads are in good condition.
