Pair of large baroque style armchairs in carved wood, with rich decoration of bunches of grapes, vine leaves and stylized shells, armrests in the shape of dolphin heads (or newts) or fantastic animals, resting on four scrolled legs, provenance Italy probably Venice, from the 19th century.
This pair of armchairs is in very good condition and they are of exceptional quality. One chair is on casters, the other is not. The upholstery has been redone.
Note: traces of restorations in particular repairs on 2 rear legs (see red arrows), a few tiny cracks, scratches, old wormholes, wear and tear, look carefully at the photos.
