Marcel Ramond (1935) is a French architect and designer who began by obtaining a technical engineering degree then continued his studies at the School of Fine Arts in Saint-Etienne to become an architect in 1967. During his training he worked alongside of Le Corbusier on the design of the Radieuse de Firminy house as well as on the furnishing project which will never be realized.
In 1968 he created with the artist Jean-Marc Bonnard the FormDesign agency dedicated to design in different forms: graphics, scenography, etc. They then work on various layout projects such as a hairdressing salon, a bar, a mini golf course or decorations for various events. The two partners are also developing the setting up of the first design biennial in Saint-Etienne in 1970, based on the industrial and artisanal heritage of the region.
In 1978, the agency was transferred to Paris and carried out numerous furniture development projects for private and professional spaces such as for the Strafort brand. During this Parisian period which lasted until the end of the 1990s, Marcel Ramond received numerous awards for his work.
