Galerie Georgette Antiquités in its Art Nouveau collection offers a beautiful Louis Majorelle ( 1859-1926) walnut armchair.
This varnished and carved walnut armchair features a high, straight back with solid armrests terminating in molded uprights.
The front base has two curved legs, while the rear is slightly saber-shaped. The seat and back are upholstered in beige/orange velvet with floral motifs.
The armchair is unsigned, but its origin is verified by Roselyne Bouvier's bibliography, Majorelle. Two similar models reproduced on a photograph from Me Houlot's study in Nancy, circa 1909.
