KOHN armchair N°715, design by Gustave Siegel, proven model from 1899. The construction of the 715 is easily recognizable by its front legs, which are an extension of the top of the backrest, in a single piece of wood, and is the archetype of a whole series of armchairs and benches made by Kohn and then Thonet-Mundus from 1900 to 1940, which are still very popular. Thank you, Mr. Siegel, who was only 20 years old at the time!
Excellent cabinetwork. Walnut shellac.
