Mahogany and mahogany veneer armchair, Retour d'Egypte model with a bust of a woman in the antique style wearing an oriental turban, front legs with claws and back legs in the Etruscan style, curved into a sabre. It is covered with antelope skin dyed in a tiger style. Beautiful model with elegant proportions, fine and nervous sculpture, perfect finishes. The seat is mainly in solid mahogany. Only the horizontal belt crosspieces are veneered in mahogany. Directoire - Consulate period, late 18th century or 1800.

Very good condition: our seat has beautiful mahogany, the structure is healthy without play or accident, the upholstery is in horsehair on straps. The tiger-style upholstery is very original, but typical of this period. The skin is worn by friction at the seat, revealing the smooth and hairless leather?
