Mahogany and mahogany veneer armchair, Retour d'Egypte model with a bust of a woman in the antique style wearing an oriental turban, front legs with claws and back legs in the Etruscan style, curved into a sabre. It is covered with antelope skin dyed in a tiger style. Beautiful model with elegant proportions, fine and nervous sculpture, perfect finishes. The seat is mainly in solid mahogany. Only the horizontal belt crosspieces are veneered in mahogany. Directoire - Consulate period, late 18th century or 1800.

Very good condition: our seat has beautiful mahogany, the structure is healthy without play or accident, the upholstery is in horsehair on straps. The tiger-style upholstery is very original, but typical of this period. The skin is worn by friction at the seat, revealing the smooth and hairless leather? But the leather is solid and can continue its life as is for a long time.
