    Bergère in molded, carved and lacquered wood re-championed in 2 tones of gray. Beautiful carved decoration of palms and laurel leaves, stars, acanthus leaves on the armrest scrolls supported by twisted fluted balusters, the front legs in baluster and the rear in Etruscan sabre. It is a finely crafted Parisian work, worthy of an official commission, but there is no stamp allowing it to be attributed with certainty. Directoire period, late 18th century or around 1800.

    The format and the seat height also lend themselves very well to use as an office chair. Following the example of Jacob chairs from the Tuileries that we offered 2 years ago with the same finishes, we chose to cover this beautiful collectible seat in a duck blue velvet (Maison Lelièvre), which was " struck” or “embossed” by the Maison Bonvallet (Laetitia pattern in semé), “national furniture style” finishes.

    Our seat is in excellent condition, no accidents or missing items.
