Our bust is made of carved wood in the round, gilded and polychromed. It rests on an angel placed on a terrace and receives in its center a large niche which once housed Holy relics.
We will appreciate the work done on the pontifical tiara recognizable by the three crowns as well as the precision of the drapery. Possibly a representation of Urban VIII who was pope from 1623 to 1644.
An Italian work from the end of the 17th or the beginning of the 18th century.
Used condition - lacks to the polychromy and gilding.
Dimensions of 69 cm high, 37 wide and 15 cm deep.
