Simon of Cyrene helps carry the cross, Veronica offers Christ a towel.
You can also see Maria Magdalena and Johannes supporting Mary, as well as Roman soldiers.
This sculpture represents one of the fourteen "Stations of the Cross".
Conifer wood with a beautiful antique wax patina.
Overall in good condition.
Continental, second half of the 16th century.
