Very beautiful ceramic by Jean Baptiste Gauvenet (1885-1967) representing an "Ermine turning its head" made by the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres (around 1930) for which the artist worked from 1908 (more precisely as a "sculptor" from 1912 to 1925 then as a "sculptor artist" from 1925 to 1943, he retired in 1947).
The work has a lot of charm and is in a beautiful state of conservation (note two small millimeter chips under the foot of the ceramic, almost invisible).
A "Walking Bear", of the same make, was sold recently for 900 euros.

Dimensions: 15 cm high by 20 cm long, 12 cm wide. Weight: 1.195 kg.
